On a hot day, there is nothing more stimulating than a cool dip!
Headed downstream and floating by long-forgotten river landings!
The river straightens out at points, but there are plenty of bends!
Paddlers take a break and come to shore for lunch!

Imagine racing from the confluence of the forks of the Kentucky River in Beattyville to the Ohio River (Point Park) in Carrollton, just you and your boat battling against the elements for 255 miles. Oh and don’t forget about those 14 locks you’ll have to portage around. Those looking for a leisurely float trip need not apply.
